Moreover, the OEM meters are the principal products used in medical and industrial laser systems.

The thermal OEM heads are compact, self-contained laser power meters with built-in amplifiers. They are easy to install and give a calibrated voltage proportional to power. They all contain electronics needed including a speed up circuit to increase the speed of response of the head to the order of 1s, 0-95%.

Ophir manufactures three main types of pyroelectric OEM heads:
  • Low profile pyro heads with no electrics
  • Low profile smart heads to be used with smart displays
  • Compact pyroelectric heads with built-in amplifiers and signal conditioners
